Hump Day Hook is a weekly blog hop where participants post one paragraph from a published book or work in progress. This week I want to take another break from introducing new characters from Bound by Blood, my gay paranormal romance series set in modern-day NYC, the first of which I hope to publish later this year. Three of my Bound by Blood characters wanted me to write a scene for them last week, and it amused me so much that I wanted to share some of it with my fellow Hookers and other readers. Here, Sean’s two lovers Laurent and Teddy have discovered him admiring himself in the mirror. They expect it to be easy to tease him into a sexy moment; what they don’t expect is his announcement.
So focused was he on his own reflection that his lovers didn’t have to try to keep quiet to sneak up behind him. He jumped when a silky voice with a French accent said over his shoulder, “As amusing as it is to watch you ogling yourself, mon amour, we would much prefer to have you ogling us.”
He grinned as he felt both a cool hand and a warm one cupping his bottom cheeks. The sensation of hot and cold always sent shivers racing up and down his spine and a spark through his loins. But while he would never turn down an opportunity to make love with his sexy French vampire and his caramel-skinned seer, he did want to have a serious discussion with them first.
“I want to try nude modeling.”
I wonder what they had to say to that…lol. Next week we’ll meet another of the main characters in the series.
